Australian Cedar Oval Top Tall Stool Ex Sydney Town Hall Impressed MC of S Inventory Number 728 c1900. The information passed with this stool was that itt was used by the elevator operator / lift driver in the old open cage Waygood lift that was installed & commissioned in 1906. There is no photographic evidence to support this but it is definitely an item formerly owned by Sydney Council. The chair seat is original with replaced leather buttoned upholstery.
