Australian cedar Trunk Blanket Box c1860 of single plank construction. This is a fine trunk with compound moulded plinth base and original wallpapered interior having an open candle box. The trunk has seen much hard work and was actually calico covered when it came to us having many tack marks. The finish has been refurbished retaining most of its original character with good colour. There is no key or key escutcheon.
