A hard-to-find piece of Tasmanian cabinet making. This six-sided sewing box is veneered onto a secondary timber carcass. The veneers are hand cut made obvious by the variation in thickness. The box has had some restoration with the tapestry covered hinged lid along with the hinges. The ball feet are most likely additions and are fixed with a central woodscrew.
